by Batch-2 Grade-10 Room 9, Group 3

Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, is a country in Southeast Asia that is home to many different ethnic minority groups of people, known as Myanmar national races. There are some largest national races in Myanmar that live in many different regions including Burmese, Shan, Karen, Rakhine, Mon, and Kachin while there are 135 minority ethnic people. Each group has its own unique culture, customs, and traditions based on its history, ancestors, and beliefs.

In terms of traditional snacks or food, Myanmar has a wide variety of options depending on the region and ethnic group of people because each ethnic group has its own traditional food.
One of the famous Burmese food is called Mohinga, a fish-based noodle soup that is considered one of the national dishes of Myanmar. Another famous food is Coconut Noodles and Lahpet thoke, which is a salad based and made with fermented tea leaves that are together in a salad with fried beans and others.
There is some famous food from ethnic groups such as Rakhine Mote ti, and Shan Noodle.
Mote ti is similar to Mohinga and is a fish-based noodle soup, but tased is a different and strong spicy-based soup.
Shan Noodle is salad based noodle.

There are other famous foods presented on School’s youtube channel by Students, you may explore more ACFS channels here:
